Carol Singing at Bow Brickhill December 2002

As is our normal practice we toured one end of the village one night, took a break the next and completed the task the night after.

Although it was sub-zero both nights everyone had a good time.

On the Thursday we were welcomed by hot punch and mince pies by the Mears family in Drakewell Road - once home of Fred & Audrey Odell.   Inside at last away from the cold the appreciation of warmth and sustenance shows on the face of the singers.

The two nights of singing raised 238 for church funds - but much more importantly a longstanding tradition was once more upheld.

The custom was first revived in 1991 and has continued come rain and snow each since since that date.
